The European University of Lefke is a non-profit university founded in 1990 by the Cyprus Science Foundation. All degree programmes at the European University of Lefke are accredited by the Higher Education Council of the Republic of Turkey (YÖK). The main campus of the university is situated in the north-west shore of TRNC which has one of the most scenic beauties in the island.  The location of the campus is isolated from the crowded entertainment centers, thus providing a peaceful, secure and risk-free atmosphere for our students. EUL provides qualified and student-centered education with its classrooms (15 students per classroom), worldwide known academic staff, professional administration, the library with 300.000 books capacity, internet connection via satellite, contemporary, comfortable and cheap accommodation facilities, up-to-date and high-tech labs, the EUL radio, social activities, movie days, sports facilities, academic activities, transportation facilities, guidance and counseling services, restaurants, cafes and student clubs.  Besides the YÖK accreditation, mutual programmes due to the agreements with various foreign higher educational organizations; double diploma and graduate programmes; students from 35 different countries and our academic staff are the indications of our quality.  Those above mentioned facilities are offered at reasonable costs and there are various scholarship opportunities that can only be offered by a non-profit organization.

The priorities and the vision of the university;

1. To create a development strategy based on qualitative effectiveness and quality education instead of quantitative development;

2. To be an employment-friendly university by training required work force;

3. To support competitive, entrepreneurial work force, who ensures the mobility and reliability of the university diploma, by the programmes for career planning and preparation to the work life during and after the university education;

4. To make contemporary and dynamic individuals which are devoted to serve the humanity and whose reference is the science prepared for the social and work life.

The EUL aims to bring in its competent graduates who have the qualifications required by private and public sectors to the labor market. Within this context, due to the projects mutually executed with business entrepreneurs, NGOs and bureaucratic organizations, our students can attend the programmes organized by the Career Center and thus have the opportunity to plan their future careers during their education.
