Primary School Mathematics Teaching
The department trains teachers for primary education institutions which possess both a national and international sense of self. Teachers who graduate will be tolerant, fair and democratic; they will be professionally competent and sensitive, inquisitive, analytical and critical. They will be able to develop advanced communication skills, and will be at peace with not only themselves but their environment too. Supplementing this, they will be constructive, selective, creative and intelligent thinkers in the field of mathematics education and will be aptly prepared for the innovations of the information society.
As the department of Primary School Mathematics Teaching, we aim to become a research and educational institution that represents success in both the national and international field of mathematics education. Students who graduate from our Department will be able to work in public and private schools, as well as in further studies and fields depending on their knowledge of Primary School Mathematics.
