The purpose of the Social Work Master’s programme is to educate students in more depth in one of the fields of wellness with family, child and youth; to develop thinking, research and evaluation skills towards generating new knowledge, and to integrate skills and knowledge in order to contribute to scientific development. Master of Social Work is an educational programme which aims to train professionals who are able to integrate behavioral sciences, social services, methods and techniques with field applications within the framework of professional responsibility, to make successful studies at both national and international levels, and to integrate and apply the needed knowledge for social services. Individuals who graduate from the programme work as organizers, planners and practitioners in the academic field, rural and urban field, public, private and non-governmental organizations.

Requirements for the graduate programme include 7 courses (21 credits), a seminar and a thesis to be completed. The medium of education is Turkish.
