European University of Lefke gives paramount importance to student development and student satisfaction.  Getting involved in a club or society is a perfect way to help students to gain and hone soft skills.  Being involved in a student organization often offers opportunities to develop teamwork, leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

Join a Club

Making new friends can sometimes be challenging, especially at the primary stage of university life.  Joining a club is the perfect way to overcome these challenges.  It gives you the opportunity to meet fellow students with the same interests.

Societies

Many studies and surveys across the globe show that the main motivation of the new generation is to seek new cultural experiences while studying abroad.   Internationalization is highly reputable in today’s world of higher education.  Learning about new cultures, new languages and new religions are not only interesting but also have a great impact on personal development.

The European University of Lefke has numerous societies to help support internationalization on campus with a fine touch of multiculturalism.

Students are encouraged to join any club or society as an active member or simply attend any of the events and organizations.

Student Clubs

ARCHITECTURE CLUB

The Architecture Club has been established for the purpose of providing solidarity among students by gathering the students to organize activities within the boundaries of the TRNC,  EUL and as well as abroad. It aims to make the members of the club more creative and more up-to-date by dealing with a profession that requires creativity and state of the art architecture as well as adhering to these principles. In line with these objectives, the club aims to conduct interviews with architects who are well-known in their profession.  It also tries to ensure that students are informed about both the future and the academic direction  to develop the designing emotions of the club members while organizing workshops to instil the spirit of group work. Additionally, the club aims to increase the visual and historical culture by organizing technical trips to buildings that holds an important place in Cypriot history of architecture and to organize more wide-scale activities in communication with the faculties and students of other universities.

BOOK CLUB

The aim of the Book Club is to popularize reading habits as well as increasing literacy activities  among students.

CHESS CLUB

The aim of the Chess Club is to bring together all chess lovers as well as encouraging to learn how to play.  Arranging chess tournaments, simultaneous shows and alike activities are among the projects driven by the club.

CINEMA CLUB

The main aim of the  Cinema Club is organizing cinema screenings in the aim of enabling students to perform their studies related to cinema.  This task is completed by bringing together the students who are interested in cinema and organizing several on and off campus events related to cinema.

CIVIL ENGINEERING CLUB

Our purpose as the Civil Engineering Club is to increase the level of knowledge of students by organizing meetings and training seminars; to conduct meetings with relevant institutions and organizations; to strengthen the links of the EUL Department of Civil Engineering with these institutions and to assist the promotion of the university. Furthermore, our aim is to organize conferences that will be given by academicians and professional individuals who are experts in the field of Civil Engineering.

COMMUNITY VOLUNTEERS CLUB

The aim of the Community Volunteers Club is to create social service projects,  put these into practice with its members and contribute to students’ personal development.

DEBATE CLUB

As the Debate Club, our aim is to organize trainings and debate tournaments for language and communication skills development as well as and making clear speeches and discussions in public for our members.

DENTISTRY CLUB

The Dentistry club focuses mainly on educating both its members and the public about common oral diseases.  Oral Health is any area of daily lifestyle that needs to be reminded about that can be forgotten from time to time.  The Dentistry Club also aims to organize different panels and seminars within its on field.

DRAWING CLUB

This club aims to bring together a group of students who have the joy and the ability for drawing on an amateur yet attractive level.  It also organizes workshops to help teach its members who would like to improve their drawing skills.

EDUCATORS CLUB

The aim of the Educators Club is to arrange movie shows and discussion days on education as well as having chats with highly experienced teachers.

ELECTRICAL AND ELECTRONICS CLUB

The aim of the Electrical and Electronics Club is to bring students and related employers together through presentations and events, and to guide students towards their career goals.

FASHION CLUB

The aim of the Fashion Club is to arrange workshops, talks and various activities with prominent people and firms in the fashion industry.

FUTURE TEACHERS CLUB

It’s all about the Do’s & Don’ts’s as future teachers as well creating innovative ideas on teaching in today’s world.  Holding Seminars, Workshops, Panels and many other events to help prepare future teachers in all different areas.

GASTRONOMY CLUB

As the Gastronomy Club, our aim is to organize both informative and entertaining activities for our members. This is conducted through various trainings, food and dessert tasting events, workshops, seminars and excursions in the field of gastronomy. Restaurant owners, gourmets and chefs are invited to be a part of these activities as well as hold  interviews for possible future job opportunities.

GREEN CRESCENT CLUB

The Green Crescent Club is an extension to the Green Club organization in Turkey.  It emphasises on various community help services in the area of Social Responsibility, Healthy Living, Say No to Drugs, Stop Drinking & Driving etc.

HISTORY AND CULTURE CLUB

History and Culture Club aims to conduct studies on historical research and investigation with activities such as interviews, panels and conferences.  In addition to Turkish history, it also informs the students about current issues by following the country’s agenda and organizes various activities with the aim of increasing awareness of how to be a witness of their society and history.

INTERNATIONAL STUDENT CLUB

International Student Club consists of  and promotes the international student body on campus from various countries studying at EUL. The main aim of the club is to guide students, carry out activities to support their personal development and to organize various events. The International Student Club conducts activities that contribute to the development of leadership and communication skills of its members. Sociocultural activities and platforms are organized to promote multiculturalism where students can easily integrate with each other. In addition, joint work environments are arranged and supported with other student clubs and communities.

IT CLUB

The purpose of the IT club is to support in and out-of-class activities in the fields of IT;  to bring together computing and academic experts in the field of IT with the students; to organize events in the aim of broadening the students’ horizons; to make them aware of the current information about IT and computer technologies; to bring together students who are interested in informatics and computer technologies; to contribute to the production of joint projects and to realize the necessary project environment and application in cooperation with industry and society.

LATIN DANCE CLUB

The aim of the Latin Dance Club is to promote skills for all Latin Dance lovers.  It is a perfect choice for extra curricular activity for students who seek self improvement in the field of dance with the guidance of professional trainers.  Members will also have the opportunity to promote the university in various dance shows and competitions.

LAW CLUB

As the Law Club our aim is to organize career days by inviting firms from the legal  sector and enabling students to be aware of the innovations in law by organizing seminars on current issues.

LIBRARY CLUB

As the library club, our main aim is to bring in regular reading habits to students in our university. Further aim of the club is to organize interviews with popular and famous writers and poets.

MANAGEMENT AND DEVELOPMENT CLUB

Management & Development club is a student impelled leadership that conspires with both the fields of corporate and academia.  It focuses on how to develop these two concepts of management by organizing various seminars, workshops, panels etc.

MATHEMATICS CLUB

The aim of the mathematics club is to support the students’ mathematical necessities of other disciplines which can be beneficial for them in their undergraduate or graduate degrees, as well as enabling students’ to develop their self-consciousness profoundly in their career selections.

MEDIA CLUB

Media Club engages students who exhibit interest and talent in photography, filming and handling PA equipment. Club members have the opportunity to learn and/or improve media aspects such as video editing, short film projects, photography courses, exhibitions, field trips and competitions.

MOBILE APPLICATION CLUB

This newly launched club has been organized under the umbrella of the BSc Software Engineering programme and aims to concentrate on the latest developments of the ever-changing improvements on mobile applications.  Club members have the opportunity to look into latest developments as well as researching future innovative projects.

MUSIC CLUB

The aim of the Music Club is to conduct research in every branch of music and to educate its members and other students in this field. Members have the opportunity to take musical classes or be a part of various music groups.  Numerous musical events on and off campus organized by the club take place throughout the academic year.

NURSING AND ARTS CLUB

The aim of the Nursing and Arts Club is to organize seminars and interviews with successful people within the profession, aiming to develop their knowledge and skills in a professional manner.

NUTRITION AND DIETETICS CLUB

The aim of the Nutrition and Dietetics Club is to contribute to the knowledge of the students by following the developments and activities carried out by International Diet Organizations.

PAWS CLUB

The goal of the club is to help stray animals live in better conditions. In order to achieve this goal, the club holds various fund raising activities and events throughout the academic year.

PHYSICAL THERAPY CLUB

As the Physiotherapy Club, our aim is to organize seminars and conferences with well-known and successful people within the profession in order to create awareness and useful tips and knowledge of all aspects in the field of Physiotherapy.

PR CLUB

The aim of this club is to prepare students interested in understanding how to cultivate, develop, and maintain relationships with people and within organizations. It is a perfect opportunity for students studying in all programmes, to learn about the importance of productive network, communication skills, general public relation, engaging in non-profit fundraising activities etc.

PRE-SCHOOL TEACHING CLUB

This is a programme based club that mainly involves its own students within the area of Pre-School Teaching.  Students have the opportunity to come together for various academic and social events that concentrate on the area of Pre-School Teaching.

PSYCHOLOGY CLUB

The purpose of the psychology club is to help the club members to improve themselves in the field of psychology, to develop and strengthen their communication skills, to enable them to express themselves in society, to acquire / develop empathy and similar skills and to organize activities with non-governmental organizations.

PSYCHOLOGICAL COUNSELLING AND GUIDANCE CLUB

Another programme based club that mainly involves its own students within the area PCG.  Club members have the opportunity to form group projects, organize seminars, communicative group sessions etc.

RED CRESCENT CLUB

As the Red Crescent Club, our aim is to introduce our students to the principles of volunteerism, benevolence and emphasize the importance of Red Crescent within our living surrounding.  It also promotes importance and organizes various platforms of blood donation.   Seminars and events are also organized throughout the academic year in the aim of recognition and protection of diseases which may endanger human life.

ROBOTICS CLUB

The aim of the Robotics Club is to promote the love robotic science and attend competitions with our teams within the field.

SOCIAL SERVICES CLUB

The aim of the Social Service Club is to promote social awareness; to implement various social work projects, to create solutions to the problems around it, to contribute to the formation of an entrepreneur and the sensitive youth.

SOFTWARE ENGINEERING CLUB

A newly launched programme based club that aims to bring together all students studying within this programme.  Club members have the opportunity for group projects, field trips, hands-on activities for development and hosting different local companies for seminars etc.

SPECIAL EDUCATION CLUB

This humanly rewarding club is another programme based club for students studying within the Special Education Programme.  Club members are driven to focus on hands on experience with helping various Special Needs Schools in the local surrounding and also organize different events for special needs students.

SUSTAINABILITY CLUB

The aim of the Sustainability Club is to arrange various chats and discussions on Sustainability and environmental awareness.

THEATRE CLUB

The aim of the Theater Club is to assist our students who are interested in theater and to ensure that our university students are active in social environments. This club enables students studying at EUL to apply their skills and abilities to culture, art and theater in general. With the collective working principle inherent in the theater, this club tries to highlight the creative and investigative spirit within individuals. In addition, it aims to consolidate friendship, self-sacrifice and love of theater and to improve the theater skills of students.

TOURISM CLUB

The purpose of the Tourism Club is to develop the qualifications of the students, such as preparing tours and organizing tours. In addition to the activities gaining general business formation, there are also training programmes that include the general working philosophy and expertise of the tourism and hospitality industry. Our club gives students opportunities to improve their practical experience.

TURKOLOGY CLUB

It is the Club that concentrates on the study of Turkish History, Turkish Culture, Turkish Cuisine etc.  It is a perfect opportunity especially for International Students to learn, taste and experience everything about the Turkish Nation.

YOGA AND HEALTHY LIVING CLUB

Yoga is an ancient study of wellness that empowers individuals to create a more refined alignment between their body, mind and soul.  Club members learn everything about Yoga and how it has a huge compact on one’s lifestyle, health and wellbeing.  Club activities involve, meditation, breathing techniques, self-improvement and overall sense of wellness.
