Elder Care (Turkish)
Elder Care department is a two-year associate degree program. The aim of the Elder Care Associate Degree Program is to train qualified, knowledgeable and skilful health personnel who will contribute to the life-quality of the old people by providing care services such as helping them to pursue daily life activities, overcoming health problems related to the elder’s illness. The graduates from the programme can work in the places like old people’s homes, nursing homes, weak and homeless homes, day care centres for elders, hospices, care services at home, protected houses, and geriatric care units that are conducted by social services and child protection agency, municipalities, hospitals, non-governmental organisations and private institutions. The graduates can work under the supervision of a specialist.
The medium of instruction is Turkish.
