Orthopedic Prosthetics & Orthotics (Turkish)
The purpose of the program, is to train the health technicians with the aid of using workshop equipment to make aesthetical functional prosthesis to those individuals who lost their organs like arms or legs due to various reasons, make arms and legs for the disordered musculoskeletal and nervous system and ensure the functioning of the body in this sense. Program graduates will be granted with Associate Degree and with Orthopedic Prosthetics and Orthotics Health Technician title.
Graduates, can work in their own special workshops within government, private and university hospitals which inhabits Prosthetics and Orthotics workshops. They can directly calculate and make arm and leg prostheses, body corset, short and long walking devices, foot rests and other assistive devices. This field is constantly growing and renewing itself an offshoot of technological improvement thus increasing the need for personnel.
The medium of instruction is Turkish.
