Çiftçioğlu addressed rural development and diversification of economy in ecotourism
European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Architecture, Landscape Architecture faculty member Prof. Dr. Gülay Çetinkaya Çiftçioğlu published articles of Sebahat Açıksöz, Osman Uzun, Füsun Erduran Nemutlu ve Figen İlke titled as “The interaction and links between Ecotourism, landscape and natural resources management in Turkey-Suğla Lake District sample and diversification of rural economy” in the International Journal of Sustainable Development and Global Ecology.
Çiftçioğlu, who remarked that International Journal of Sustainable Development and Global Ecology is an international peer-reviewed journal, which was published in America by Taylor & Francis, said that the primary research interests of the journal consist of sustainable development, environmental, economic and socio-cultural sustainable.
Çiftçioğlu expressed that she approached as participant during study by stating that the purpose of the study is to specify the opportunities that potential resource values provide based on improving ecotourism of Suğla Lake District, which is in Konya province in Turkey. Çiftçioğlu referred that the outcome of her study aims to contribute to politicians and planner in terms of particularly landscapes and natural resources sustainable management of ecotourism, rural development and diversification of economy.
