EUL Gastronomy Students Awarded for Success
Students of EUL Gastronomy Department of the School of Tourism and Hotel Management have been awarded for their achieved success in Turkey within the Academic Year 2015-2016.
In the award ceremony held at EUL Gastronomy Kitchen, the School of Tourism and Hotel Management Director Assist. Prof. Dr. Mehmedali Egemen, has awarded those students who were successful during the “14th International Culinary Days Fest”, who won the “Best University Team of the Year Competition” and who have won various medals. Certificate of appreciation were also distributed to the teachers and students.
The Head of EUL Gastronomy Department, School of Tourism and Hotel Management Assist. Prof. Dr. Aytaç Yıldırım, Tourism Management Department Head Assist. Prof. Dr. Tahir Yeşilada, lecturer Assist. Prof. Dr. Meltem Erdoğan, Dr. Nafiya Güden, Zihni Türksel and Gastronomy and the students were the participants of the award ceremony.
Gastronomy is one of the prestigious departments of EUL
Egemen, who congratulated students for their success, has stated; “to see that getting better awards every year makes us happy, continue keeping your goals high”, and also underlined that students require to be in competition in order to increase their individual development and success. Egemen has encouraged students for the abroad competitions by stating that opportunities will be given to the students to participate in the competitions organized at European countries.
Egemen, who gave advice, while performing exchange of ideas with the students, also mentioned that the sharing of information amongst each other is important for the university and the management. Egemen, who put attention to the Gastronomy Department which is one of the prestigious departments of EUL, has stated that their goal is to carry Gastronomy Department out of the island, and make it a department famous worldwide.
