Kawera: “It was an honour to represent my University (EUL) in Singapore”
Sylvia R. Kawera stated that: “During the Young Water Leaders’ Summit, I was advantaged from experienced people who have worked so hard to contribute to their populations’ wellbeing through having access to clean and safe water as well as connect with young people from all over the world who are passionately working in the water sector. I have met engineers, entrepreneurs, leaders, and scientists working everyday towards providing solutions to water problems in their home countries as well as the world at large through innovations. It was such an eye-opening event that helped me to clearly see that I can use the acquired knowledge in university to think out of the box and be on a solution providing side. After this summit, I feel very motivated and encouraged, I have seen young people who have made several steps in their dreams and I know that if they did it, I can do it too. It was an honour to represent the EUL in Singapore and I cannot conclude, without extending my gratitude to the EUL board for this honour and unique opportunity to represent my University”.
The 7th Singapore International Water Week was held in conjunction with the 5th World Cities Summit and the 3rd Clean Environment Summit Singapore, between the dates of 10 – 14 July 2016 at the Sands Expo and Convention Centre, Marina Bay Sands in Singapore.
