The School of Nursing at the European University of Lefke (EUL) organized a Nursing Oath Ceremony for its 2025–2026 Academic Year graduates.

At the ceremony, which began with a moment of silence and the recitation of the National Anthem, the Director of the School of Nursing, Prof. Dr. Meral Demiralp, delivered a speech stating that the ceremony represented not only a transition into professional life but also “the integration of knowledge with human sensitivity, technology with human contact, and science with ethical responsibility within the same professional identity.”

Addressing her students, Prof. Dr. Meral Demiralp said, “Today, we are sending you into the future as nurses equipped with professional knowledge, human sensitivity, and a strong sense of responsibility, entrusted to us with confidence by your families. As successful students of the European University of Lefke, I believe that throughout your professional lives, you will become not only competent practitioners but also visionary healthcare professionals who add value to the institutions in which you serve.” Reminding students of the words of the founder of the Republic, Gazi Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, “A nation’s success on the battlefield becomes lasting through its achievements in economics and science,” Demiralp emphasized that a scientific and ethical approach in the field of health sciences is one of the most important forces shaping the future of societies and wished her students success in their professional careers.

At the end of her speech, Demiralp expressed her gratitude to European University of Lefke Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen for his valuable contributions to the institutional development of the School of Nursing and thanked all academic and administrative staff of the university for their support.

The ceremony program concluded with the students taking their nursing oaths under the guidance of Department Heads Assoc. Prof. Dr. Maral Kargın and Asst. Prof. Dr. Ayşe Sevim Ünal.
