A charity bazaar was organized by the initiation of European University of Lefke (EUL) Vocational Higher-school of Health and by the contribution of Health Sciences Faculty and Higher-school of Health students in line with the “1-31 October Breast Cancer Awareness Month” in aid of Help Those with Cancer Association (KHYD).

Food prepared by the students of the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the Faculty of Health Sciences was sold at a stand set up at the Lefke Dates Festival Area and the income was delivered to KHYD officials.

The Director of Vocational Higher-school of Health Sciences Assist. Prof. Dr. Meltem Uçar emphasized that they live the joy of raising hopes to those who are in despair as briefed about the breast cancer. Leaflets of information about Breast Cancer Scanning methods were distributed during the festival. The red ribbons labeled as “I Love My Mom” were pinned as banners and balloons with slogans like “Early Diagnosis Saves Life”, “Shoulder to shoulder against cancer”, “Life must not be postponed”, “I am aware and I am not afraid”, “Breast Health is in Your Hands”, “Stand Sound against Breast Cancer Together”, “Be afraid of to be late not of cancer”. ‘Find & Cure’, ‘Fight Like a Girl’ and ‘Join the Fight’
