The accumulating development of European University of Lefke and the serious rise in the number of students, reinforced campus infrastructure, new academic staff, new faculties, higher schools and departments, EUL is paving its way towards its goal to be the best.

The Rector of the European University of Lefke Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen have further assessed the sound rise of the number of the students in EUL and stated that European University of Lefke has ranked top as the most preffered university in TRNC according to the results of 2016 Students Selection and Placement Exam (SSPE).

Yükselen:EUL marked the highest rise amonst TRNC Universities

Yükselen have indicated that accoring to the results of 2016 Students Selection and Placement Exam (SSPE), students preffering EUL in 2015 was 1739 as this number have increased by 2016 upto 23.46% to 2147 registering 408 more students , thus enabling the European University of Lefke to be marked with the highest rise amongst TRNC Universities within the year of 2016.
Furthermore, Yükselen have underlined that comparing to the previous year’s statistic, which EUL was preferred 5th university amongst the TRNC universities, this year have been amongst the top 3, achieving a significant success.
Yükselen: EUL, for the first time, is the 3rd most preferred in university TRNC in its history.

Initiating his duty in 2013, accordingly to the SSPE results, 870 students had had selected EUL while in contrary this number was increased by 146.78% in 2016 by reaching up to 2147 students. Yükselen stressed that in 2013, 12.56% of the total number of students preferring TRNC universities had selected EUL while this year this number raised up to 17.95%, which is certainly a matter of honor.

Achieving this success in the last 3 years, is recorded as the highest rate amongst the TRNC universities. Yükselen stated that EUL will continue to enhance and develop year by year emphatically.

Having been ranked as the highest on the ladder of augmentation was thanks to the developed laboratories and technical infrastructure, expanded academic staff and opening of new departments, thus effecting EUL in a positive way which have paved the way for the highest scorers in SSPE to select EUL aiding the rise in quality of Academy.
6 New Departments in 2014

Opening three new higher-schools in 2014, departments of Physiotherapy Technician, First and First and Emergency Aid, Medical Documentation and Secretariat, Medical Laboratory Technician under the Vocational Higher-School of Health Services, Justice under the Vocational Higher-School of Justice and Nursing under the Higher-School of Health, were put into service.

17 New Departments in 2015

EUL commenced its 2015-2016 Academic Years with 11 associate’s degree programs and 6 undergraduate programs consisting of Mentally Handicapped Teaching, Architecture (Turkish), Interior Architecture (Turkish), Computer Engineering (Turkish), Electric and Electronic Engineering (Turkish), Civil Engineering (Turkish) under undergraduate programs and Cookery, Operating Theater Services, Anesthesia, Child Development, Dialysis, Handicapped Care and Rehabilitation, Domestic Patient Care, Optician, Radiotherapy, Medical Imaging Technician and Elderly Care under associate’s degree programs.

13 New Departments in 2016

In 2016-2017 Academic Years, EUL have commenced with 13 new departments; 5 undergraduate and 8 associate’s degree programs. Health Sciences Faculty: Nutrition and Dietician (English), Faculty of Science and Literature: Psychology (English), Faculty of Communication Sciences: New Media and Journalism (English), Higher-School of Health: Nursing (English), Higher-School of Physical Education and Sport: Sports Management, Higher-School of Health Services: Oral and Dental Health, Dental Prosthesis Technician, Electro-neurophysiology, Audiometry, Pathology Laboratory Technician, Perfusion Technician, Orthopedics Prosthesis and Orthesis, Higher-School of Vocation: Tourist Guide.
