The Department of Business Administration is one of the university’s oldest departments; first introduced in 1990. During the years the curriculum has been revised with the aim of creating a high quality Business Administration undergraduate programme, providing the student with the necessary skills and techniques in meeting the challenges of the contemporary and future business world. Students will find the opportunity to acquire both theoretical knowledge and to practice what they have learned.

Great importance is given to enhance creativity and to establish a strong level of self-confidence in students, which are qualities of utmost importance within the business world.

Students graduating from the Business Administration programme have a wide variety of career options ranging from management enterprises and organizations, to careers in the fields of trade, tourism and financial institutions, as well as the public sector and academic employment.

The number of multinational companies and the importance of institutionalization is expected to grow in the ever increasing globalized world. Business administration and management will become one of the leading occupations in the future. Therefore, The Department of Business Administration will provide educational material that will assist in providing a contemporary account of the international arena.

The Department of Business Administration furthermore cooperates with other departments, incorporating lectures and courses from other programmes to enrich its own programme. Amongst both the theoretical and practical courses offered, are also modules covering management and organisation, sociology, psychology, history, foreign languages, communication, politics, law, social or behavioural sciences, economy, banking, finance, accounting, production, marketing, tourism, human resources management, international business, strategic management, mathematics, statistics and computer information management.
