A technical visit to Teknecik Power Plant was organized for EUL students

A technical visit to the Teknecik Power Plant was organized for the students of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering at the European University of Lefke (EUL) as part of the Power System Analysis I course.
During the visit, accompanied by Prof. Dr. Özgür Cemal Özerdem, a faculty member of the Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering, authorized personnel from the Teknecik Power Plant gave a presentation to the students about the systems used in electricity generation. After the presentation, the facility was toured, and the systems were shown on-site, with explanations provided about their operation. The technical staff from the KIB-TEK Teknecik Power Plant accompanied the tour, providing detailed information about the facilities, devices, and equipment, and answered questions from EUL students.
The students had the opportunity to examine various electricity generation techniques using different types of power plants. They also observed the protective components used after electricity generation, power transformers, the transfer of electricity to transmission lines through switchyards, and related facilities and equipment on-site.
At the end of the technical visit, Prof. Dr. Özgür Cemal Özerdem thanked the technical staff of KIB-TEK Teknecik Power Plant for their support in reinforcing the students’ knowledge.
