The Executive Committee of the International Students’ Club (ISC) of EUL organized an End-of-Semester Trip to Magusa for all interested students. It was a very fun-filled, successful, interesting and memorable event that took place on January 23rd, 2010.
The aim of this trip as highlighted by the International Students’ Club (ISC), was an avenue for the entire students of EUL to relax and have some fun immediately after completing the 2009 / 2010 Fall semester final exams.
There was a turn-out of about 90 students who participated in this trip comprising of not only international students but mixed with a number of Turkish students as well.
The students had two (2) big school buses with interesting and friendly drivers to convey everyone to and fro Famagusta (Mağusa). The journey to Mağusa alone was itself filled with so much fun.
This one day journey included Salamis Ruins, Ice-Bowling, La La Mustafa Pasha Mosque, Mağusa Harbor, and a Friendly football match between the two International Student communities at Middle East Technical University, North Cyprus campus. EUL students were successful in the match and completed the game with a leading score of 9-3.
EUL Students had maximum fun and hope for more times like this in the future. They would like to express their gratitude to the ISC Executive Committee, the Rectorate, and the EUL administrative authorities for organizing for such a colorful event.
