Social Cultural Activities
In today’s world, the European University of Lefke does not serve the most valuable and expensive intellectual commodity by focusing on scientific production alone, but also provides students the opportunity to develop their social and emotional intelligences, to catch the contemporary spirit of today’s world and contribute to historical developments. In accordance with such a policy, EUL is the only non-profit government foundation university that transfers student’s tuitions to their individual and social development.
Every year, Spring Festivals are organised as an annual tradition at the European University of Lefke. In these festivals the students of the university are aimed to have social and cultural activities with solidarity between students, academic and administrative personnel. The students also have many opportunities to participate in various social and cultural activities organised on and off campus.
EUL Fun Club
The European University of Lefke has recently formed an area which has been named “EUL FUN CLUB” for extra student weekend entertainment. This club is an indoor open are located on campus with an approximate space of 220m2 filled with lights, seating area and a dance floor for student activities. There are various live and DJ music that is organised every weekend by various Student Clubs under the administration of the Dean of Students and Student Council.
97.4 EUL FM European University of Lefke Alternative Radio
EUL FM is a volunteer run university community radio station with close links to the Faculty of Communication Sciences. There are about sixty students, lecturers and volunteers from the Lefke / Gemikonağı community who work at the radio. The Station can be heard throughout the western half of North Cyprus, including the cities and towns of Girne, Lefkoşa, Güzelyurt, Lefke and around the world on the Internet.
