Social Cultural Activities
In today’s world, the European University of Lefke does not only serve the most valuable and expensive intellectual commodity by focusing on scientific production alone, but also provides students the opportunity to develop themselves socially and emotionally.

Spring Festival:
In the first weeks of May, when weather is at its’ best behaviour in Cyprus, the European University of Lefke holds its annual Spring Festival, much awaited by students and the local population. Spring Festival usually consists of a week of colourful and joyful events arranged and run by the Dean of Students, Student Union, Student Clubs and International Office.

During this week of the year, the university becomes the main attraction spot of the area, as it stays alive 24 hours a day. The Activity Square is blooming with various stands, selling unique items, local delicacies and tickets to numerous amusement rides and games that are brought into the University, especially for the event. The EUL Plaza, on the other hand, is where most of the main events take place: concerts by famous singers/bands, shows by stand-up comedians and most importantly performances by out own EUL students.

Spring Festival is the time of the year when students demonstrate their various talents on a large scale: anyone and everyone are encouraged to participate - the stage is yours, just ask for it! As EUL student body consists of students from over 30 countries, events that take place are colourful and multi-flavoured: from fashion shows to town parades and from dance/song performances to traditional food stalls.

Spring Festival is the perfect opportunity for the students to unwind before the final exams of the academic year, meet new friends, have their moments of fame and gain unforgettable experience which they will be proud to share with their friends and family for the rest of their lives.  

EUL Fun Club
The European University of Lefke has an indoor area delegated for the students’ extra-curricular entertainment/activities - “EUL FUN CLUB”.  This club is located on campus, has an approximate area of 220m², with a capacity of around 60 (sitting) and 100 (standing), dance floor, DJ booth, laser and light projectors and musical instruments.  There are various live and DJ performances that take place every weekend, being organized by various Student Clubs under the administration of the Dean of Students and Student Council. Throughout the week, various music and dance groups of the EUL use the club for their rehearsals and practice.

97.4 EUL FM European University of Lefke Alternative Radio
EUL FM is a volunteer run university community radio station with close links to the Faculty of Communication Sciences.  There are about sixty students, lecturers and volunteers from the Lefke / Gemikonağı community who work at the radio.  The Station can be heard throughout the western half of North Cyprus, including the cities and towns of Girne, Lefkoşa, Güzelyurt, Lefke and around the world through the Internet.
