MA in Architecture - General Information

Architecture Programme

The educational philosophy of the department is to create a balance between theoretical and practical education, while providing standards of professional training which will be useful to graduates in their future profession. While the undergraduates programme in Architecture stimulates and shapes the artistic sensitivity with the students, the M.A. programme strengthens further these capabilities to make them more successful in their professional life.
The Master of Arts in Architecture programme consists of 30 credits, comprising 6 taught courses, a term project, and a thesis of 6 credits. The student needs to complete the course work in the first year and the thesis during the second full year.
The graduates passing out of B.A. degree course in Architecture are eligible to apply for the M.A. programme in Architecture. Upon successful completion of the master's degree, the students can join for Ph.D studies or take up professional life.
