In this course correct pronunciation of the Turkish sounds will be studied. Theoretical and practical studies would be carried out on types of communications aiming to convince and to inform the audience.

A survey of the origins and development of Western Civilization during the ancient and medieval periods, in which the history of Cyprus and its surrounds will figure prominently. Stress is placed on the social, economic, and political aspects, but it also covers cultural and technical elements and their inter-relationships. Includes field trips.

This class will examine typography as a design tool, one which allows us to see word as image, and how this can be orchestrated to express ideas of visual hierarchy and verbal messages. In a series of assignments we will interpret, communicate and expand upon verbal messages.
VCD 206 Animation Techniques (2,2)3
This course provides computer graphics majors with exposure to advanced three-dimensional computer animation. The course concentrates on hierarchical animation, time curves and motion paths, color and light animation, and advanced rendering techniques. Advanced script and character sheet development, lip and music synchronization, and procedural description of natural phenomena are explored.

This course provides students with a unique opportunity to explore and develop ethical motivations to their work as communicators in public life. It explores a wide variety of ethical issues that include censorship, conflicts of interest, portrayal of minorities, the elderly, and children.
