Residence Permit

All international students are required to complete their Residence Permit procedure upon arrival. The International Affairs Department will assist students during this process. Students will be required to take a medical test at the Hospitals/Labs of the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.

Approximate expenses:

1. Hospital (Medical) fee (One time only)  : $80

2. Residence Permit Fee                        : $60

Students should be aware that certain diseases are treated with utmost caution in Northern Cyprus and those who have these illnesses are subject to deportation by the Government. Therefore, please make sure that you have taken a medical test on Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Tuberculosis and HIV in your country before hand, in order to avoid any difficulties arising from health issues.

- 1 student certificate (obtained from the Registrar’s office)

- 7.50 TL worth of stamps (obtained from any Post Office)

- Passport and photocopies of it

- Rent contract (except for students staying at the EUL Dorms)

- 2 photos (only for those who would have their residence permit done for the first time)

- 73 TL residence permit fee (for 1 year)

- Medical Report* (only for those who would have their residence permit done for the first time)

Please note that Lefke Municipality Offices’ winter working hours are between 08:00 – 12:00 and 13:30 – 16:00 during the week.
