EUL Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences Organizes Career Days

The Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences (FEAS) at the European University of Lefke (EUL) held its Career Days event on April 28–30, 2025, with high participation on the EUL campus.
Titled “Career Days for the Professionals of Tomorrow,” the event began with an opening speech by Dean of FEAS, Prof. Dr. Ali Dayıoğlu. Following the opening, two separate conferences were held. The first, titled “Diplomatic Practice: Trump’s Foreign Policy in a Changing World Order,” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Ali Şevket Ovalı, Head of the Department of International Relations at Dokuz Eylül University. The second conference, titled “Motivation: Personal, Professional, and Organizational Development,” was presented by Derviş Yaşar Baha.
The main event day, Tuesday, April 29, began with a talk by EUL alumnus Sedat Yılmaz, titled “Journey from the European University of Lefke to the Top and Advice for Future Graduates.” This was followed by a panel titled “Career Opportunities in Professional Life and Advice About the Business World,” featuring Mehmet Sofular from Creditwest Bank, Münevver Ebedi Çakmak from Lefke Municipality, Togan Çakmak from Vodafone, Prof. Dr. Mustafa Tümer, Director General of the Cyprus Foundations Administration, and Göksel Saydam from Saydam Accounting Bureau.
After booth visits from 14 different companies and institutions representing various sectors, which attracted significant student interest, Asst. Prof. Dr. Pelin Bayram, Head of EUL’s Business Administration Department, conducted a workshop titled “Effective CV Preparation and Interview Success Strategies.”
Two certificate programs were held on the final day of the Career Days event, April 30. The first, titled “Effective Leadership Strategies and Team-Based Learning,” was led by Prof. Dr. Mustafa Sağsan, Faculty Member of the Business Department. The second, “Effective Communication,” was delivered by Prof. Dr. Elif Asude Tunca, Dean of the Faculty of Communication Sciences.
In his closing remarks, Dean Prof. Dr. Ali Dayıoğlu expressed his satisfaction with the strong student participation and thanked all contributors, especially EUL students, for their involvement in making the event a success.
