Translation & Interpretation

Translation and Interpretation Department commenced classes at 2025-2026 academic year. The bachelor degree program is for 4 years, comprises of 8 semesters and the medium of instruction is English. The mode of education is formal education and it is a full time program.

The main aim of the department is to raise competent individuals in their fields. Some of the basic objectives are to direct the students to think scientifically, be creative, create solutions for problems, be able to improve themselves and specifically to be able to have the knowledge to meet the needs of the society and the world.

Additionally, enabling the students to acquire the required skills to be able to have profound knowledge about Turkish and English language culture, translation techniques, interpretation and concepts are among the goals of our department.

Our graduates may have employment opportunities in many private and public institutions, publishing houses, embassies, international corporations, media organizations, banks, consulates, translation agencies, ministries, film production agencies, private hospitals, English language teaching, logistic firms and tourism agencies
