European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education organised a book signing and interview with Civil Engineer Hakan Oran: An interview and book signing event was held with Civil Engineer Hakan Oran.

Civil Engineer Hakan Oran presented valuable information to the university students about the scientific, psychological, and sociological dimensions of the earthquake in the interview part of the book signing event, the proceeds of which will be donated to ‘The Champion Angels Survival Association’.

In the speech, Oran stated that he tried to write the book ‘We are not afraid of earthquake’ as a book different from the usual earthquake books and that he benefited from domestic and foreign sources in this regard.

The book ‘We are not afraid of earthquake’, which was purchased by the university to be distributed to EUL students and the income of which will be donated to the ‘Champion Angels Survival Association’, was distributed to the students under the signature of Hakan Oran.

During his visit to EUL Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, Civil Engineer Hakan Oran made the following remarks: ‘Especially in an earthquake country like Türkiye and of course in the TRNC, it is very important for the people to reach earthquake awareness. If the people of a country or a city do not have enough earthquake culture, you cannot prepare that city for an earthquake. For this purpose, education and awareness are very important’ and thanked Yükselen for the contribution made by the university.
