The School of Health Services at the European University of Lefke (EUL) organized an event titled “On-Site Observation of Sustainable Forestry Activities” to raise environmental awareness and strengthen the understanding of sustainable forestry in the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus (TRNC).

The event was hosted by the Güzelyurt Regional Directorate of the Forestry Department. Participants had the opportunity to receive both theoretical and practical training on the conservation and sustainable management of forest ecosystems. Forestry Department Director Ercan Poyraz provided comprehensive information on sustainable forestry practices and answered students’ questions.

Students were not limited to theoretical knowledge; they also took an active role in the field. Through activities such as sapling planting, soil conservation efforts, and practical work for the sustainability of forest ecosystems, they gained valuable hands-on experience directly in nature.

This meaningful event not only raised awareness about environmental conservation but also marked an important step in educating future environmentally conscious individuals.
