An online interactive training on “Food Additives and Risk Communication” was held by the Department of Nutrition and Dietetics at the European University of Lefke (EUL).
In the training current approaches to food additives were discussed with the participation of Prof. Dr. Murat Baş from Acıbadem University and Bensu Karahalil from Gazi University as well as other academics who are experts in their fields.
Program Manager, Head of Nutrition and Dietetics Department Asst. Prof. Dr. Nazal Bardak Perçinci stated that the event was extremely productive for the students and stated that they were very pleased with the interactive nature of the education and the multidisciplinary approach to food additives. Perçinci said that with the activity, a different perspective was gained and the ability of the students to comment on the relevant subject was also improved, adding that the students’ contribution to the activity with the tests applied and the question-answer section increased the usefulness.
