EUL Academician Portakalcı drew attention to the Importance of Public Relations Activities in Businesses
European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Communication Sciences Department of Public Relations and Advertising faculty member Asst. Prof. Dr. Mustafa Portakalcı made statements on “The Importance of Public Relations Activities in Businesses”.
Portakalcı said, “The demands and needs of the people in the society are increasing, and the acquisition of values that are constantly changing with the effect of technology becomes important”, and this situation brings a new dimension to the relations of the enterprises with their environment and encourages the businesses that want to be at the forefront of the competition to act in line with the expectations and needs of the environment.
Portakalcı; The key point in creating a positive perception in favor of the business is public relations.
“While businesses are in a competitive environment in many areas, at the same time, digital applications have become convenient in businesses in line with technological opportunities. In addition to this, public relations became more important in terms of the coordinated implementation of all activities in businesses and conveying the right messages to the target audiences,” said Portakalcı, and also touched upon the importance of public relations in the success of the business in learning the needs of the target audiences and responding with the right strategies. Noting that the key point in creating a positive perception in favor of the business, especially in the media today, can be parallel with the functionality of public relations activities, Portakalcı pointed out that public relations will gain more importance within the framework of increasing competition and changing needs of target audiences, and pointed out that businesses will attach more importance to public relations activities in this direction.
Finally, Portakalcı said, “It should not be forgotten that public relations is an area whose importance is understood not only by the businesses or individuals it provides services, but also by the society.”
