European University of Lefke (EUL) Department of Social Services organized an oath taking ceremony for the 2017-2018 graduates of Social Services Department. Head of Social Services Department Prof. Dr. Şengül Hablemitoğlu, academicians and families attended the ceremony in which the graduates took the first steps of their profession.

The ceremony started with a moment of silence followed with the Turkish National Anthem. Head of Social Services Department Prof. Dr. Şengül Hablemitoğlu addressed the graduates and parents with a speech.

Hablemitoğlu: Social Service Specialists try to solve the disadvantages of all people, this is the most important basis of the profession.

Head of Social Services Department Prof. Dr. Şengül Hablemitoğlu addressed the graduates in her speech and said that, “Today you are taking your first steps towards your profession by taking the oath on the basic principles of the profession as the 4^th grade students of the Social Services Department. You have completed a very long and difficult process, and I am very pleased to be a part of such a happy and proud day”. She also said that, “The social service profession is carried out on the basis of international norms. In every part of the world, Social Service Specialists try to solve the disadvantages of children, women, the elderly and all people, and act in such a way to provide the best benefit to the people they help which is the most important basis of their profession”. At the end of her speech, Hablemitoğlu congratulate the academicians who made a great effort in training the students and wished success for the graduates.

The ceremony ended with the graduates of Social Services Department taking their universal profession oath with the leadership of Head of Social Services Department Prof. Dr. Şengül Hablemitoğlu.
