“Environment is not a legacy but an entrust that will be transferred to future generations” themed environmental cleaning project was carried out by the 4th Grade student of the Social Service Club affiliated to the European University of Lefke (EUL) Centre of Social Cultural Activities within the scope of the community service practices course.

EUL students have conducted a successful awareness project in order to become a more sensitive society against environmental pollution.

In the environmental cleaning project, EUL students drew attention to the importance of environmental cleaning by collecting trash on the way to the university, fulfilling their duties on environmental pollution and creating awareness. The exemplary behaviour of the students highlighted the importance of being more sensitive and conscious about the environment.

A clean environment helps us to have a healthier psychology and perception

Pointing out their views about the activity, students said that “We wanted to clean the environment of our school. We believe in the harm caused by plastic waste, cigarette butts, and all kinds of elements that pollute the environment we live in, on human psychology. A clean environment helps us to have a healthier psychology and perception. We think that we are conducting a good awareness activity in order to become a more sensitive society against environmental pollution”.
