The School of Nursing at the European University of Lefke (EUL) held a professional oath ceremony for its Spring 2024–2025 academic year graduates. The ceremony, marking the graduates’ first official step into the nursing profession, was attended by faculty members, students, and their families.
The event began with a moment of silence and the Turkish National Anthem, followed by a speech from Prof. Dr. Meral Demiralp, Director of the School of Nursing.
In her address, Prof. Dr. Demiralp stated:
“Today is a significant day on which you are proudly welcomed into the nursing profession. The nursing oath is recited to affirm our personal and collective commitment to the roles we must uphold in our profession. This day marks the beginning of a journey filled with both challenges and opportunities. “We received you from your families as bright individuals, and now we deliver you to the healthcare field as competent nurses. I trust each one of you and am proud of you—may your paths be filled with success.”
Prof. Dr. Demiralp concluded by expressing gratitude:“I extend my deep respect and thanks to our University Rector, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, who has continuously supported us by providing all the means of the University, and I thank all our academic and administrative staff for their contributions.”
