European University of Lefke (EUL) Faculty of Healthy Sciences Department of Nutrition and Dietetics organized a certificated education seminar themed “Occupational Health and Safety (OHS)”. Students of Nutrition and Dietetics Department attended the educational seminar which was offered by Expert of NISSERT Company Fulya Doğan.

Under the framework of education, Doğan conveyed detailed information on the topics of; occupational health and safety management systems and requirements, ohsas 18001 OHS management systems, OHS management systems.

EUL Students received certificates

Doğan said that, “Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) are the scientific studies to protect against the dangers caused by the execution of the work in the workplace and the conditions that may harm the health. These studies are based on the protection of employees and the safety of the enterprise and production, and the protection of employees and the environment”. Doğan also stated that in the training which was conducted with the aim of teaching OHS management systems and conditions commonly used in OHS, recent health and safety practices and methods applied in recent years were conveyed to the students in a detailed way.

After the intensive training, the students were awarded the “Occupational Health and Safety” certificate.
