Third Creative ELT Materials Exhibition Held at EUL

The Department of English Language Teaching within the Faculty of Education, Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education at the European University of Lefke (EUL)organized the third edition of the “Creative ELT Materials Exhibition.”
The exhibition was officially opened by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Ersel, Head of the Department of Foreign Language Education. In this third installment, the importance of material use in foreign language teaching was emphasized, along with the dedication of faculty members and pre-service teachers to developing their creativity. It was highlighted that teacher candidates in the English Language Teaching (ELT) program are supported throughout their four-year education to bring theoretical knowledge to life through creativity. They are trained to become well-equipped individuals for an evolving world.
The exhibition was prepared under the guidance of Asst. Prof. Dr. Fatma Özüorçun and Lecturer Naziyet Mercan Bozok, as part of the courses ‘Materials Development in English Language Teaching,’ ‘Teaching English to Young Learners,’ and ‘Adult Education and Lifelong Learning.’ Third- and fourth-year ELT students presented their work, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sibel Ersel thanked the faculty members and students who contributed to the exhibition.
During student presentations, attendees were given detailed information on the themes and concepts of the materials on display. Topics included using puppets to teach English to young learners, storybooks supported with visual figures, educational posters, flashcards, QR-coded picture dictionaries, and many other visual teaching aids.
Additionally, materials designed for adult education were showcased at various exhibition stands, and all participants were warmly thanked for their interest and contributions.
