58th Anniversary of Independence Day of Nigeria Celebrated at EUL
European University of Lefke (EUL) Office of Students’ Dean and Internationals Office organized an activity titled “58th Anniversary of Independence Day of Nigeria” for the Nigerian students receiving education at EUL. Within the scope of the event, zestful shows accompanied with cultural music were performed. The event attracted intense participation of EUL students, especially Nigerian students.

The event which took place at EUL Plaza proceed with theatrical performances and the cultural shows of the students and the students had the chance to introduce their local dishes.
Nigerian students stated that they are glad that they had the chance to come together on the Independence Day of Nigeria and expressed their feelings about Independence Day as follows;
John Chang Danboyi: I am in the Department of International Relations. I took place in different activities within the academic year. Every year we celebrate this day with enthusiasm and pride in our country since 1960 which is the year that we declared our independence. By means of this event that we organized at EUL we had the chance to introduce our local dishes and cultural clothes to our friends receiving education at EUL. I would like to express my gratitude to my university for offering such opportunity.
Tajudeen Aminat: Being able to attend such events with our friends makes us very happy. It excites us to celebrate our bond and love to our country within our campus, together with our friends. We were very happy with the event.
Kanuria Sandra Okeke: I had the chance to attend the Nigerian events which took place in the past years. Being appreciated for our cultural shows and local dishes by our friends in this year’s event which was conducted with intense participation made us very happy.
