DOCUMENTS NEEDED FOR MOBILE PHONE REGISTRATION THAT WILL BE HELD ON CAMPUS 

Students who need to register their mobile phones within the establishment of “Mobile Phone Registration Unit” of the Northern Cyprus will have the opportunity to complete all Registration formalities on campus.  The registration process consists of three (3) major steps which you will need to follow.

You may find below details of the set up.

Dates:                      

16/10/2017 – 31/10/2017 (Inclusive of both dates)

Place on Campus: 

Student Union Centre – Bottom Floor Across from Library

STEP I – Registration on Campus

Required Documents:

• Fill Out Required Form

• IMEI Mobile Phone that is intended to be registered
• Original Passport
• Two (2) Copies of Passport
• Student Certificate or updated/relevant Student ID Card
• Copies of the above mentioned (whichever one will be used during application)
• Amount to be paid for the actual registration of the concerning mobile (14.71 TL).  The office will not accept the fees in cash.  Applicants must pay the required fee via Credit/Debit card or simply make a payment to the below mentioned Bank(s).

EXPLANATION:      MOBILE PHONE REGISTRATON “MCKS”

After completing this process and making your payment you will be given an official document of registration along with a proof of payment receipt (at this point you will know that the first step of your mobile phone is complete).

STEP II – Registration in Customs Office:

Your next step will be visiting the closest “Customs Office” to the University which is located in Gemikonagı.  The name in Turkish is “Gümrük ve Rüstumat Dairesi”.  You will need to make a customs payment according to the mobile phone you own.

Required Documents for this process:

• Your Mobile
• Proof of Your Registered Mobile

(document & receipt obtained in step #1)

• Passport

STEP III – Registration in Mobile Company

Step III is the final step for the completion of your mobile phone registration.  At this point you are required to bring the below mentioned documents, receipts etc. to any one of the Mobile Companies of your choice (Kuzey Kıbrıs Turkcell or Telsim/Vodaphone).

• Mobile Phone
• Document & Receipt obtained from “Mobile Phone Registration Unit”
•  Receipt obtained from Customs Office

After completion of the above mentioned documents to any one of the Mobile Companies you will then know that your Mobile Phone is formally registered within the Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus.
