“No Barriers to Reading” project from EUL students
European University of Lefke Dr. Fazıl Küçük Education Faculty Turkish Language Teaching Department students organized a social responsibility project called “There is No Barrier to Reading”.
Turkish Language Teaching Deparment students Emircan Sağaltici, Yusuf Sağaltici, Hakan Dinçer, Yusuf Zeynel Güngörmüş, Emre Doğan aimed to contribute to the audio library of the Cyprus Turkish Sights Association within the scope of the project they carried out under the consultancy of Faculty Member Asst. Prof. Dr. Anıl Görkem.
Students drew attention to the importance of reading books
The students conveyed the following about their projects; We, as the students of the Department of Turkish Language Teaching, implemented the social responsibility project “There is No Barrier to Reading” in order to both help and enlighten the visually impaired in our project that we started to support the importance of reading and mental development. We decided to contact the Cyprus Turkish Visually Impaired Association and read books about Atatürk in line with the wishes of the institution. In this direction, we started the work and completed the project by performing the reading vocalization work in the given time frame.

Derviş Yücetürk, President of the Cyprus Turkish Visually Impaired Association, stated that they gladly received the CD books about Atatürk that the EUL students had performed for the audio library of the Cyprus Turkish Visually Impaired Association, and conveyed his endless thanks to the students for the books that were voiced with devotion.
