European University of Lefke (EUL) continues to certify the quality of its education by international independent accreditation organisations adding a new one to its academic developments. The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics of the Faculty of Health Sciences has been accredited for five years by the Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences, one of Germany’s Higher Education Quality Institutions.
The Accreditation Agency in Health and Social Sciences (AHPGS), which aims to improve the quality of education by carrying out accreditation studies of various educational programmes in the field of Health and Social Sciences, evaluated the EUL Department of Nutrition and Dietetics by considering criteria such as curriculum content and quality, faculty members, institutional environment and quality assurance.
During the evaluation visit, the AHPGS Accreditation Evaluation Committee met separately with the Rectorate, Dean of the Faculty, Head of the Department, faculty members, research assistants and students and made evaluations. As a result of the evaluations made by the AHPGS committee and the university visit, the European University of Lefke Department of Nutrition and Dietetics met the necessary criteria. As a result of the file review and face-to-face interviews, AHPGS Expert Reports were submitted to the department and the department was accredited for five years until 30 September 2028.
According to the statement made by the Faculty of Health Sciences; “The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics, which has a multicultural, international education environment and students from various countries, has registered the quality of education with this prestigious accreditation. We would like to thank our Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Ali Yükselen, the entire university administration, the faculty members of the Faculty of Health Sciences, our students and other stakeholders for their endless support in the process of bringing this international accreditation to our university. We are very pleased to see the increase in the international validity of the quality education provided by the European University of Lefke.”
