The aim of this program is to teach key principles of conservation of cultural heritage, including traditional and contemporary methods in building survey, restitution and preparing restoration projects. Our department aims to train qualified individuals with high awareness and sensitivity towards protecting cultural heritage through both theoretical and practical education.

 

Students learn about the concept of conservation as well as the fundamental principles and practices of restoration and conservation as part of the theoretical and practical education provided by the department. They also learn how to conduct building surveys of traditional structures and constructional components, analyze them, determine the current situation, and create restoration and restitution projects. They also gain a foundational understanding of traditional handicrafts and learn how to take inventories of traditional handicrafts. Additionally, they get up the information and abilities needed to operate restoration labs.
