EUL’s Teacher Candidates were informed about MasterKids Education
It Offers a Creative Educational Program for Kids
Mert Balın, Coordinator of the Happy Learning Individuals Center, who participated in the training organized by the European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Pre-School Teaching as a speaker, gave information about masterkids education which offers a creative learning program to EUL teacher candidates.
Balın: Masterkids program for children aged 3-13 contributes to the creativity of children
Pointing out that Happy Learning Individuals Center is a physical center that offers service in the fields of arts, science and technology to the kids living in Cyprus, Balın said that Masterkids program for children aged 3-13 contributes to the creativity of children with different programs. Balın said that MasterKids’ educational philosophy was inspired by constructivism, the learning theory of Seymour Papert, a professor at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) and explained to the students that the MasterKids program creates an environment in which many children of different ages are encouraged to explore and learn.
Balın also informed the students that the program is a program that contributes to the creativity of children with its constantly updated content and materials, makes learning fun, has been tried and developed over the years by working with children. He further stated that the training is carried out with specially designed, themed programs, LEGO Education kits for children in small groups, tablets and products specially developed for the subject.
Çağanağa: We ensure that students are aware of current trainings in the world
The Chairperson of Pre-School Teaching Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa said that EUL Department of Preschool Education adopts a philosophy of lifelong learning that fulfills the requirements of the age, not only academically and intellectually, with activities that teach different education techniques to its students. Çağanağa also said that they ensure that students are aware of current trainings in the world with different activities in line with an educational approach that enables students to grow up as successful individuals in the profession.
