Information Systems & Technology
Department of Information Systems and Technology is a 4-year undergraduate program under the umbrella of the School of Applied Sciences. The aim of Information Systems and Technology program is to prepare students for careers focused on the planning, application, development, management, and implementation of technology to add value to the processes, products, methods, and decision-making in organizations.
At the beginning of their studies students gain the foundations about mathematics and management as provided by the School of Applied Sciences. In the following years, students learn how to plan, analyze, design, and implement computer-based information systems, such as computer networks and database applications. Students gain in-depth knowledge of Information System concepts and applications, learn how to analyze business data and operations to create innovative solutions, and gain management skills. Again, through the provided elective courses, students have an opportunity to develop and specialize in their fields of interest.
