Exhibition of Materials with Different Themes

European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Pre School Teaching organized a material exhibition themed “The Toy of My Dreams”.

In the exhibition which was conducted at EUL Rauf Raif Denktaş Education Faculty building with the leadership of Teaching Assistant of Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Lalehan Durusoy Yarkın, materials prepared by students which had different themes were exhibited under the framework of Material Design lecture.

Yarkın who made the opening speech of the exhibition said that the students receive education on how to design educational toys in the direction of knowledge and abilities that are required as a preschool teacher. Yarkın said that, “The purpose of the exhibition is to make the pre-school teachers candidates to gain the abilities of education, method and techniques related with material design and equipment”. At the end of her speech, Yarkın thanked the Dean of Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education and Chairperson of Pre School Teaching Department for their contributions and wishes success for the students who attended the exhibition in their whole lives of education.

Çağanağa: Educational toys designed for the exhibition will be donated to the local schools.

Chairperson of Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education Department of Pre School Teaching Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa who made a speech at the exhibition said that Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education adopts sense of education which is student oriented and offers an education in this direction. Pointing out that they are experiencing the pride of sharing the products of material design lecture, which is an example for learning by practicing, with the kids who are the adults of our future, Çağanağa thanked the teachers and students of Lefke İstiklal Primary School and Yedidalga Primary School. Çağanağa also said that the educational toys designed for the exhibition which was visited by nearly 80 students, will be donated to the local schools after the exhibition and pointed out the importance of designing materials that contribute to the development of children in pre-school education, and the need for course materials in the development of motor and cognitive skills of the students.
