Significant projects of EUL students continue
Students of the European University of Lefke (EUL) Dr. Fazıl Küçük Faculty of Education continue to conduct significant and successful social responsibility projects under the framework of their Social Service Practices course with the leadership of Head of Pre-School Teaching Department Assist. Prof. Dr. Çağda Kıvanç Çağanağa.
Giving information about the projects of the students, Çağanağa said that in the project called “My School is Wonderful”, students who set out with the principle of lifelong learning made paint work on the walls of Yedidalga Primary School. Çağanağa stated that the students who conducted their projects in order to draw attention to the encouragement of creativity in preschool students, made creative works for waste materials which take many years to dissolve in nature such as plastic, by making feeders and drinkers with waste materials besides the paint work.
Çağağa further stated that with the “Chess” project, the students drew the shape of chess in the garden of Lefke İstiklal Elementary School with the aim of teaching kids chess whilst having fun in the shares spaces of the school. Çağanağa also stated that the students prepared water cups and feeders from plastic pipes mostly used in infrastructure works and placed them in various parts of the region and set an example with the slogan `Give life`.
Çağanağa also stated that the students planted saplings in Lefke with the project “Every Forest has a Hero”, which was realized with the Lefke Environment and Promotion Association and with the participation of Pre-School students and teachers from regional schools. Çağanağa said that they are carrying out social responsibility projects for all segments of the society with different themes and purposes and thanked the students and everyone who contributed to the work.
