“The Role of Computer and Informatics Engineers in the Sector and New Trends in Informatics Technology” discussed at EUL
European University of Lefke Student Office of Students’ Dean and Innovation Club organized a seminar themed “The Role of Computer and Informatics Engineers in the Sector and New Trends in Informatics Technology”. Audit Commission members of Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Computer Engineers (BMO) Erkan Emirzade and Bora Tüccaroğlu attended the seminar.
Giving information about the aim and scope of the Turkish Cypriot Chamber of Computer Engineers (BMO), Emirzade said that the BMO creates opportunities for members to improve their professional field competencies and plays an important role in providing members with communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills. Emirzade stated that apart from its leading role in the informatics field, the chamber also works in cooperation with other parties and added that they serve as a bridge between informatics companies and students who study in the informatics departments of the universities for their compulsory internships.
Emirzade; Informatics and products of informatics in the world have become a basic necessity now
Emirzade stated that the fact that the informatics and products of informatics have become the basic necessities and added that this neccesity contributes to the growth of the informatics sector and on the other hand it increases the need of professionals in this field. Emirzade gave information about career opportunities in the field of informatics in our country and in nearby countries, and new trend technologies in the field of informatics, and gave recommendations on what graduate students should pay attention to before and during the job interviews.
Pointing out the importance of project management in personal and professional life, Tüccaroğlu said that the technical side of the subject is much important, especially when the projects of informatics are concerned, and added that success or failure depends on technical work. Tüccaroğlu said that, “Of course, more effort and resources are being spent in the execution phase of a informatics project, because the product appears to be at this stage, but the success of the project is not only limited to those in the executive phase, but it seems to be a very significant influence, especially at the beginning of the project and during the project,”. Tüccaroğlu pointed out that during the time when IT specialists are practicing their professions, administrative processes have a considerable emphasis on the success of the projects.

Pointing out the importance of keeping records Tüccaroğlu stated that, for this reason, human beings who use stone, papyrus, paper and informatics technology had to rely on a third authority for the correctness and validity of the records. Tüccaroğlu said that, “This is made possible by the structure, which is protected by distributed, transparent, digital signature technologies called bitcoin block chain which aims to remove the dependency on a third authority and solve the problem of duplication of expenditure,” and added that block-chain technology is being discussed as it will have a destructive effect on today’s informatics n and finance sector solutions. Tüccaroğlu said that it would not be hard to say that information technology will play a very different role in our lives with the ever increasing usage of intelligence contracts in our daily lives and added that all the steps of a bitcoin process have been studied in detail.
